Gauting disappointed in the ADAC test: Bike & Ride only sufficient!

Gauting, Deutschland - The ADAC examined the bike & ride systems across Germany and also evaluated Gauting. The results are sobering: While many stations with "very good" (14) and "good" (42) sections, the Gautinger train station only received grade 4 ("sufficient"). Critical defects were found in the free capacities, because 352 of the 380 bicycle parking spaces were occupied. Missing special equipment such as charging options for e-bikes and lockers also contributed to the poor evaluation.

The test criteria of the ADAC included the basic equipment, location and special equipment. Despite the very good location and the covered parking spaces, these factors were not adequately weighted. The press spokeswoman for Gauting, Charlotte Jans, admitted that improvements were possible, but pointed out that the current budget situation does not allow this.
