Art or smearing? Graffiti workshop inspires students in Herrsching!
The first graffiti workshop at the Herrsching secondary school was enthusiastic about the school community! Under the guidance of graffiti artist Melander "Lando" Holzapfel and Nils "Bert" Jänisch, pupils of the sixth grades sprayed impressive works of art, which are now proudly adorned with the walls of the school. The creative idea arose when the art teacher Tanja Weindl discovered that Lando's daughter Flora was taught there. As part of the workshop, which focused on the topics of "friendliness" and "harmony", the students transformed their ideas into pictures.
Headmaster Christian Schmitz is pleased about the positive change in the perception of graffiti - in the past often only stamped as smearings, it is now recognized as an art form. "The pictures motivate you to go to the school building," emphasizes Weindl. The project, supported by Lions Club, Allianz and VR Bank, tore everyone away, and the children have obviously enjoyed creative work. "Everyone understands a heart," explains Lando, while he is already dreaming of other projects. Further information on this inspiring workshop is to find here .
