Wörthsee: wind farm crisis! Are there only three wind turbines left?

The plans for a wind farm in Wörthsee are on the brink! After the rejection of two out of five wind turbines near the A96, the project managers of TORING GREE Energy ask themselves the burning question: Is the project still worth it? Managing Director Felix Jenninger and Peter Beermann from the planning office Beermann Energiesysteme GmbH reported in the municipal council meeting that the negative decision was a "massive negative surprise", mainly because of the editions of the Oberpfaffenhofen airport, which should have been recognized during early exams.

Despite the setbacks, those responsible plan to capture three wind turbines that are north. These have impressive heights of up to 166.6 meters and are intended to achieve a nominal output of 5.56 megawatts per wind turbine. Theoretically, commissioning could take place at the end of 2026, but uncertainty remains great. Jenninger emphasized that it is the most important generation project of his family and that they will carefully examine the risk. The final decision period is expected for the first quarter of 2025. But the citizen participation remains uncertain, but those responsible are determined not to give up the project.
