Renate Wohlthat: From letter dilemma to the reading master!

Stendal - Renate Wohlthat only knew the alphabet up to individual letters until she started to learn to read and write at the age of 52. The Stendaler has attended a course of rural adult education (Leb) with the help of the job center in the past ten years. On the occasion of the World Malphabetization Day, Leb presented the basic training courses in the Stendal district, which are designed especially for people with lower reading and writing skills.

The course participants reported on their progress and how this education opened up new perspectives. Renate and her colleagues show how important it is not to underestimate this learning path and that it is never too late to acquire knowledge.
