Serious accident at Hoisdorf: 60-year-old injured, 85-year-old died
A serious traffic accident occurred this afternoon on the K 30 near Hoisdorf. At around 12.50 p.m. there was a dramatic collision between an Audi and a tractor team, which led to a tragic outcome. The circumstances of the accident are currently still unclear.
A 60-year-old woman from Lütjensee was in the direction of Siek with her Audi when she initiated an overtaking process. There were several vehicles in front of her, including a line joint bus. During this overtaking process, the tractor team, which drove on the lane near the confluence Lunken, wanted to turn left. The driver of the tractor noticed the overtaking process and stopped. But for reasons that have not yet been clarified, the Audi driver again steered on her original lane in front of the regular bus and collided with the tractor team.
injuries and subsequent measures
In the collision, the Audi driver suffered serious injuries and was immediately taken to a hospital. Tragically, her 85-year-old passenger, who comes from the Duchy of Herzogtum-Lauenburg, sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene of the accident. These depressing messages are always a sobering example of the dangers of road traffic and the potential consequences of overtaking processes, especially if several vehicles move in a narrow space.
The public prosecutor's office in Lübeck has commissioned an expert opinion on clarifying the exact circumstances of the accident. For this purpose, an appraiser was consulted by the DEKRA to thoroughly examined the various factors of the incident. This is an important step to bring light into the exact processes of the accident and possibly avoid similar tragic events in the future.
The K 30 is currently completely closed after the accident in order to be able to carry out the necessary investigations and rescue work undisturbed. Such closures can cause significant traffic disruptions, but security has the highest priority in such dramatic cases.
The traffic monitoring of the Ratzeburg police department remains vigilant, and it is pointed out that road users should adapt to possible restrictions on road traffic. In times when road traffic safety focuses more than ever, this incident again emphasizes the importance of responsible driving behavior.
