Smoke alarm in Straubinger workshop: technical failure causes fire!

On Monday, October 14th, a car workshop on Johannes-Kepler-Straße in Straubing fell on flames. An employee noticed smoke in the office around 1 p.m. and initially tried to fight the fire with a fire extinguisher - but unsuccessfully. The police suspect that a technical defect on a heater was the cause of the fire.

The alarmed volunteer fire brigade Straubing was able to quickly extinguish the fire and prevented further damage. Nevertheless, the property damage incurred amounts to around 20,000 euros. Fortunately, there were no injuries, as the police reported according to www.wochenblatt.de .
