Tigers Straubing: New squad, old problems - starting season full of surprises!
The Straubing Tigers start the new Penny Del season with high expectations. After an impressive last season in which the team moved into the semi -finals of the playoffs and qualified for the Champions Hockey League, the Tigers have changed their squad considerably. Nine players, including the long -time goalkeeper Hunter Miska, who switched to the KHL to Moscow, had to go while twelve new faces were integrated into the team.
sports manager Jason Dunham was optimistic about the commitment of Zane Mcintyre as a new goalkeeper. "He will enrich us with his experience," says Dunham. While the defense was only minimally reinforced, the offensive has experienced a drastic facelifting, with eight new attackers, including old acquaintances such as Taylor Leier. Despite these changes, the season for the Tigers started disappointing, and after a brilliant victory against Düsseldorf, five defeats in a row followed. It was only last Sunday that a 2-1 win over Schwenningen, which at least temporarily ended the result crisis. More details can be found at Adler-mannheim.de
