Daimler legend Edzard Reuter died at the age of 96
Stuttgart, Deutschland - The former Daimler boss Edzard Reuter died on October 27th at the age of 96 in Stuttgart. This was confirmed by the press spokesman for the Helga and Edzard Reuter Foundation. Dr. Susanne Eisenmann, the chair of the foundation, commented on the loss and explained: "The death of Edzard Reuter fulfills us with great grief."
Reuter headed Daimler-Benz AG from 1987 to 1995 and was responsible for the construction of the new company headquarters in Stuttgart under his leadership. He was also the son of the famous Governing Mayor of Berlin, Ernst Reuter.
