Loneliness and humor: Stuttgart's premiere of Ms. Yamamoto is still there

The Schauspiel Stuttgart inspires with the German premiere of Dea Loher's play "Ms. Yamamoto is still there". The emotional depths of life and loneliness in a changing society are impressively addressed. The 87-year-old Nicole Heesters embodies the title-giving figure without sentimentality and brings the challenges of age to the stage.

The piece that was originally written for a Japanese theater group combines episodes in a powerful way - 20 scenes that together give a deep insight into human relationships and fears. Director Burkhard C. Kosminski and stage designer Florian Etti create an urgent atmosphere in a well thought-out chamber theater setting. Actors and actors fill their roles alive, while the piece also loosens up the serious topics with a pinch of humor.

"Ms. Yamamoto is still there" can be seen in Stuttgart from October 14th to November 6th. The piece not only promises entertainment, but also stimulates thinking about life and aging. Further information can be found on www.schaffiel-stuttgart.de .
