Stuttgart: Massive warning strike at Porsche - thousands demand higher wages!

Stuttgart, Deutschland - In Stuttgart, thousands of employees of the metal and electrical industry started a massive warning strike after the peace is required at night. According to the IG Metall, around 4,000 employees laid their work at Porsche, while about 500 in the night shift also went to the strand. These actions follow a failed second round of negotiations between IG Metall and the employers who are far apart.

The union demands a wage increase of seven percent for over twelve months for the 3.9 million employees nationwide, while employers only offer two increases of 1.7 and 1.9 percent over 27 months, whereby the first increase should only occur in July 2025. Other warning strikes are already planned for Tuesday at various locations such as Bosch in Reutlingen and Daimler Buses in Neu-Ulm. The third round of negotiations will begin in the tariff areas of coast and Lower Saxony on Tuesday, while the next appointment in Böblingen is scheduled in Baden-Württemberg on Thursday.
