Trio Wanderer enchants Neustadt with Clara-Schumann-Circle
The "Trio Wanderer" from Paris returns to Neustadt on Tuesday, September 10th to open the city's concert season in the hall building. The three top-class musicians, consisting of violinist Jean-Marc Phillips-Varjabédian, pianist Vincent Coq and Cellist Raphaël Pidoux, have been an integral part of the global classical scene for more than 35 years. The anticipation for the concert is great, not only because of the excellent performances, but also because of the extraordinary program.
"Clara-Schumann-Circle" is the name of the concert, which presents works by renowned composers of German romance. The connection between these artists goes beyond music: Clara Wieck-Schumann, Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms form a fascinating trio in their personal and artistic relationship. The planned concert is primarily shaped by the deep and often artistically controversial relationship between Clara and Robert and Brahms.
an important program
The concert program begins with Robert Schumann's first piano trio in D minor from 1847. This piece paved the way for the musical development in its time and is still valued for its emotional ups and downs. This is followed by Clara Schumann's G minor trio, which received little attention in the music landscape at the time, while today it is considered one of the most important compositions of its kind. This changed perception is proof of the value of the contributions from composers to classical music, which often stood in the shadow of their male colleagues.
The concert is concluded with Brahms 'Trio in H major op. 8, in its early version of 1854, which was created only three months after Brahms' first meeting with the Schumanns. The works of these incredible artists show not only their technical skills, but also the complex emotional entanglements that shaped the life and music of that time.
It will be a special opportunity for concert goers to experience these masterpieces live. Fritz Burkhardt gives an introduction to the pieces at 6.45 p.m. in the Beethoven Hall, which will certainly help to deepen understanding and appreciation for music.
single tickets are already available and costs between 19 and 33 euros, depending on the category. Ticket sale takes place via the website www.ticket-regional.de as well as by phone at 0651 9790777 and at all ticket regional ticket agencies.
This will not only be a festival for the ears, but also an exciting exploration of the music stories that are behind these works. The return of the "Trio Wanderer" to Neustadt promises to become an unforgettable concert experience!
