Sturmchaos in the Saale-Holzland: Trees fall on vehicles!

On Friday afternoon, strong gusts of wind swept through the Saale-Holzland and brought several trees down. It became particularly dramatic when a crazy tree hit a passing car in Stadtroda. A 21-year-old woman who was behind the wheel of a VW Polo was very lucky-she was unharmed while her vehicle suffered a total economic damage.

But there was also another incident on the district road between Nerkewitz and Neuengönna: a tree fell on a passing Skoda. The driver also remained intact here, but his car also had to be towed. The total damage of this wind -caused catastrophe is estimated at around 20,000 euros. Caution should be exercised in such weather conditions!
