E-scooter drivers under drugs: Police pull the emergency brake in Nordhausen!

A 56-year-old man was stopped on October 4th, 2024 in Neustadtstraße by the Nordhausen police during a traffic control. The driver of an e-scooter was noticed by a drug-based test, which reacted positively to amphetamine and methamphetamine. His onward journey was immediately prevented.

The scooter driver was then brought to the southern Harz Clinic, where he was removed from a blood test. An administrative offense notification will be followed by a violation of the Road Traffic Act.
