Weiden/Neustadt/Tirschenreuth. In the northern Upper Palatinate, an important ceremony for the acquittal of 34 new farmers, who can now act as state -recognized specialists.

An important event for young farmers

The solemn acquittal in the Neustadt town hall is not only a personal milestone for the graduates, but also an important step for the entire region. In view of the urgency to combine modern agriculture with sustainability, the training of the new farmers is essential. The area of “nutrition and agriculture” gives graduates the necessary tools to meet the challenges of today.

The graduates completed a comprehensive training with a combination of theoretical and practical elements. A central part of the training was to acquire knowledge of production technology, business administration as well as about climate and water protection. "Our new farmers must be able to cope with not only agricultural aspects, but also topics such as animal welfare and employee management," said Johannes Hebauer, head of the government.
