Eve of honor in Traunstein: loyal members for horse pilgrimage excellent!
In a festive framework, the St. Georgsverein Traunstein honored long -term members for their tireless efforts at Georgiritt. Chairman Simon Schreiber emphasized the importance of each "bike" in the annual ride and honored the loyalty of the members. In the 133-year history of the association, extensive honors for years of memberships were held for the first time.
Mayor Christian Hümmer described the Georgiritt as the “showpiece in the cultural treasure chest” of the city and praised the close connection between the city and the surrounding area, which is symbolized by the event. Several members received silver badges of honor, including numerous long -standing supporters. An absolute highlight of the honors was the awarding of the golden badge of honor to Gerhard Hiemer for 65 years of club affiliation as well as Inge Pistotnik and others who gave loyalty to the club between 50 and 70 years. Among the honored are the "rosers", which provide over 40 horses for the ride every year. The atmospheric evening was also musically framed by Theresa Ober and Franz Reiter, who provided entertainment with harp and Ziach. The event represents a valuable recognition of the community and tradition that the St. Georgsverein maintains.
