Volunteering in Traunstein: Stark and Lex receive district medal!
Grabenstätt, Deutschland - Annemarie Stark from Traunstein and Gustl Lex from Grabenstätt were awarded the coveted district medal in Seon for their extraordinary voluntary work. District President Thomas Schwarzenberger praised their 15-year presiding role at "We help e.V.", through which more than 215,000 euros were collected for those in need and social projects. Strong, visibly proud, emphasized the joy of the recognition and the years of commitment from her fellow campaigners.
Gustl Lex, who is active in numerous areas from church work to home care, also received great recognition. His tireless commitment to the community, including his role as a local home car carer and as a founding member of the Grabenstätt men's choir, were emphasized. "The medal is a great honor for my many years of work," said Lex. The district medal, which has been awarded annually since 1990, is in the fields of culture, social affairs, sport and more. The ceremony was musically framed by an ensemble of the Munich University of Music. Other award winners in alphabetical order included Peter Adler and Anette Attenberger.
