Volunteers honored: Traunstein and Grabenstätt shine!
Annemarie Stark and Gustl Lex were awarded the district medal in an impressive ceremony in the Traunstein district. District President Thomas Schwarzenberger presented the honors and praised the two for their outstanding voluntary work. Annemarie Stark, who has been the chair of the association "We help e.V." for 15 years It was active, mobilized by flea markets and book markets, impressive 215,000 euros to benefit people and social projects in need. "Volunteering is a great treasure. You are role models!", Schwarzenberger estimated her commitment.Gustl Lex, living in Grabenstätt, is another prime example of exemplary volunteering. The versatile fighter for Bavarian culture has been involved in the church, as a municipal council, Schöffe, and the men's choir for decades. "I see the medal as a great honor and appreciation of my many years of work," said Lex. Both honored not only the medals, but also the warm applause of those present, including the mayor of Traunstein and the mayor of Grabenstätt, who are proud of their fellow citizens. The district medal has been awarded to deserving citizens since 1990 in order to honor their extraordinary voluntary commitment, said the President.
