Successful border control: Federal Police prevents entry with fake documents
A 57-year-old man from Kosovo recently stopped by the federal police on the border near Steinebrück (BAB 60) when he tried to get into the country with fake Italian documents. On closer examination, the officials found that they were total falsifications.
After further reviews, it became known that the man had already been convicted of driving without a driver's license and that an entry and residence ban for Germany had also been carried out by December 2026. In order to comply with the requested fine, an acquaintance paid the sum at the federal police.
The federal police initiated criminal proceedings for forgery of documents and violations of the Residence Act. The man was immediately sent back to Belgium and his ban on entry and stay was extended by three more years.
This incident shows the determination of the federal police to prevent illegal entry attempts and to ensure security in the border area. The strict controls serve to protect the population and to comply with the laws.
