Courageous vacationers save wife from Gebirgsbach: drama in the Almbachklamm
In the Almbachklamm on Untersberg, a dramatic accident occurred on Saturday when a 69-year-old vacationer slipped on a rain-wet bridge and fell into a mountain stream for about ten meters. Four brave first aiders risk their own life to save the injured woman from aborting. They provided first aid on a rock and alerted the Traunstein control center around 1 p.m.
The rescue workers, including the Mountain Service Marktschellenberg and the BRK water guard, were quickly mobilized. A rescue helicopter brought the emergency doctor and additional rescue team to the scene of the accident. Fortunately, the woman had already been taken out of the water and threatened to not abort. She suffered hypothermia and a head injury and was flown to the Traunstein Clinic. While the first aiders were brought back secured, the crisis intervention service took care of the daughter and grandson of the injured. A total of around seven mountain rescuers and eight other emergency services were involved in the rescue operation. www.merkur.de .
