New President takes over the management of the Rotary Club Traunstein
At the beginning of the Rotarian year, which will last until June 2025, the ceremonial handover took place at the Rotary Club Traunstein. Stefan Lauwitz handed over his position as President to Peter Osenstätter in a ceremony in Maria Eck. This marked the beginning of the Rotarian year 2024/25 for the club.
Before the actual handover ceremony, the members commemorated their late friends in a prayer with Dean Peter Bertram. Candles were lit in memory of them. The outgoing President Stefan Lauwitz looked back on his term. Last year the focus was on strengthening club life through joint events with the partner club RC Enns from Austria. Travel, lectures and charitable activities shaped the year.
The club focused on local projects and supporting aid organizations in the district in the past Rotarian year. The youth social award of the RC Traunstein and the jazz morning pint were particularly successful. Stefan Lauwitz thanked the board for their participation.Peter Osenstätter presented his plans for the coming year. He intends to orientate himself to the motto of the world president Stephanie Udickick "The Magic of Rotary". He asked all members to actively participate in club life. The focus will continue to be on social commitment, both in the Traunstein district and beyond. Specific activities are already being planned.
The change at the top of the Rotary Club Traunstein marks a new section in club history. With a clear commitment to charitable projects and social support, Peter Osenstätter will continue the tradition of the club and set new impulses.
