Serious accident in tree felling: farmer saved with helicopter
A terrible incident occurred on Saturday, October 26th, during tree felling work near a farm in Berchtesgaden. A 35-year-old farm and forestry was seriously injured when a tree trunk split, was thrown up and hit it on the shoulder and foot area. The injured person reacted quickly and provided first aid, while they informed the rescue workers according to information from www.merkur.de .
A ambulance, an emergency doctor and operations manager of the Berchtesgadener Red Cross, were sentimmediately, supported by the Berchtesgaden volunteer fire brigade. The emergency services initially supplied the injured in the stream bed of the Gerner Bach before transporting him to the vehicles with a rescue board. A “Christophorus 6” type helicopter finally flew the man to the Salzburg accident hospital.
