ATM in Thomm blown up: perpetrator on the run!

In a dramatic robbery, unknown perpetrators blown up an ATM in Thomm during the night from Sunday to Monday. Local residents were alerted by a loud bang around 4 a.m. According to the police reports, at least three accomplices broke into the anteroom where the ATM was located, and blew it with explosives to get to the cash. The exact sum of the prey has not yet been determined.

After the shocking incident, the perpetrators fled with a fast, dark vehicle towards Hermeskeil. Fortunately, no people were injured, but property damage in the low six -digit range occurred on the building, which means that the building cannot temporarily be used for banking.
