A tragic traffic accident occurred today at 1:15 p.m. on the B327 at the Aral petrol station in 54497 Morbach. In the event of a rear -end collision, several people were injured, including a heavy, but not life -threatening injured accident.
The accident was triggered when a 19-year-old driver drove the B327 towards Morbach. In front of him, a 23-year-old driver wanted to turn left onto the site of the petrol station, but had to stop abrupt due to oncoming traffic. The subsequent driver recognized the situation too late and went unchecked on the vehicle in front.
In addition to the person who caused the accident, the injured party and his passenger were also injured, but fortunately only easy. All three were immediately taken to a nearby hospital by the emergency services. On both vehicles, total economic damage occurred, and the total damage is estimated at around 20,000 euros.
The B327 had to be completely blocked for about 45 minutes due to the accident to enable the rescue operation and the rescue work. The DRK were deployed with several vehicles, a rescue helicopter, the Morbach volunteer fire brigade, the Bernkastel road maintenance department and a police patrol from the Morbach police inspection.
