Julian from Trier celebrates new life: a year after the transplant!
One year after his life-saving stem cell transplantation, 16-year-old Julian from Trier celebrated a moving festival, surrounded by 120 supporters. Under a bright blue sky, the guests let balloons rise with wishes for Julian, while a colorful fireworks lit up the evening. Julian looks confidently into the future: he plans to go back to school soon and already has an apprenticeship in gardening and landscaping, after he had to prepare intensively for the transplant. "I can hardly wait," said Julian enthusiastically.
Despite the challenges and difficult times, not much has changed in Julian's everyday life; His family worries intensively. Face memories of the critical moments during his treatment, but a deep longing remains: he wants to get to know the woman who donated her stem cells and plans to send her a thank you letter soon. During the celebration, the broad support of the community also became clear, because over 400 people took part in a typing call. Julian enjoys his new freedom and has already taken responsibility for two calves. "I will soon get my tractor driving license!" He announces with anticipation.
