Seniors' autumn festival: New chairpersons brings a breath of fresh air to Prenzlau
Uckerseehalle, 17291 Prenzlau, Deutschland - On Saturday, Gudrun Schlanert, an active member of the Prenzlau Senior Advisory Board, opened this year's autumn festival in the Uckerseehalle together with Mayor Hendrik Sommer. After a warm welcome, Sommer presented the new chairwoman of the senior advisory board, which will be officially in office this week. The atmosphere was exuberant, and those present enjoyed coffee, cake and festive decoration.
Among the new members of the advisory board are Gerd Gied, Katrin Ruhner, Ramona Verch and Ute Uhlig, who are already looking forward to their new task. Ute emphasized: "I would like to get more of volunteering and be there for other people" - a message that reflects the positive atmosphere of the festival. The event was musically accompanied by the folk musicians Jo & Josephine, who encouraged the guests to complain. The homemade fruit organ of the flower sisters was also a hit. "People love our fruit organic," reported Eileen Blum. The whole festival was a gain for the seniors to spend happy hours in a convivial atmosphere.
