The summer nights become even more exciting with the start of the Ulm Open-Air cinema "Donau, Film & Staren" in 2024. On the grounds of the SSV Ulm outdoor pool, film fans can expect a diverse program with blockbuster hits and Arthaus cinema. A special highlight are the free film specials that are planned. Here you will find all information about appointments, films and tickets at a glance.

Discover the diverse film program

From July 10th, the Ulm open -air cinema opens its gates with three free film specials, which are presented as part of the Danube Festival. The regular program then starts on July 13th and runs until the end of September. Here is a small preview of some of the films shown:

Practical information about the introduction times and the event location

The films start daily with darkness. The specified times in the program booklet and in other announcements serve as a guideline for the expected film start.

The "Donau, Film & Star" cinema takes place on the grounds of the outdoor pool from SSV Ulm 1846 and can be easily accessible by car, on foot, by bike or by tram. Parking is sufficiently available on the Danube Stadium, on the Danube Hall and in the adjacent Friedrichsau.

In bad weather, ideas can be canceled. Daily at 6 p.m., the organizers announce whether the film screening can take place as planned. Appropriate information is available on the website of the Dietrich Theater and on the Instagram channel of the open-air cinema.
