Unknown driver causes an e-scooter accident: police are looking for escape

New focus: Security on the streets in the focus

On Tuesday morning there was a traffic accident at the "Am Bleicher Hag" / Teacher Valley-Weg in Ulm. A 61-year-old man stood at the red traffic light with his e-scooter and waited for the green signal. A driver of a white van kept next to him. When the traffic lights surrounded, both vehicles accelerated. The van suddenly overtook the e-scooter and cut off the way. The 61-year-old had to brake abruptly and fell, suffering minor injuries. However, the driver of the van continued his journey and did not take care of the fallen man. The police in Ulm are now looking for the fleeting person who caused the accident.

It can be seen alarming that road users repeatedly perform ruthless actions in road traffic. The security of all road users should be a top priority, and mutual respect and mindfulness are essential to avoid accidents.

It is clear that such irresponsible actions must not be tolerated. The police therefore call on witnesses who have observed the incident or have information about the white van or its driver to report. Only through a cooperative cooperation between the community can dangerous drivers be held accountable and ensured security on the streets.
