A dramatic traffic accident occurred in Ulm on Tuesday afternoon! An 89-year-old VW driver overlooked a Ford when turning at a stop point and causing a violent collision. The incident occurred around 4:15 p.m. when the man from Adelberg wanted to turn left onto the B297. The 23-year-old Ford driver, who was traveling from Birenbach, tried to avoid the VW, but could no longer prevent the collision. The Volkswagen crashed into the right side of the Ford and hurled it over 25 meters into a meadow, where it finally came to a standstill.

The accident demanded a total of four slightly injured, including the VW driver, the Ford driver and two passengers aged 47 and 8. Everyone was brought to surrounding hospitals for examination. The damage to the vehicles is an estimated 40,000 euros, and one of the vehicles even had to be towed. The police, two emergency doctors, five ambulances and the fire brigades from Birenbach, Göppingen and Rechberghausen were active with 35 emergency services in order to provide help as soon as possible.
