Unforgettable adventure: 65 children experience Olympic tent camps in Ehestetten

In an exciting tent camp event, 65 children aged 9 to 14 years were allowed to spend an unforgettable time. Under the inspiring motto "Olympic camp", the six days from July 25th. until 30.08.2024 in Ehestetten, where the young participants experienced numerous adventures together with their supervisors.

The starting signal for the tent camp was born on Thursday morning when the group opened on a bicycle trip together. The cheerful children drove to marriage and when they arrived at the campground, the luggage was immediately distributed and the tents were assigned. Each tent offered space for up to twelve children, whereby they were always accommodated in groups with their carers. The mix of boys and girls' tents caused a good atmosphere, and the children quickly found their own groups while organizing the tent distribution themselves.

As soon as the tents were covered, the supervisors introduced the children to the storage theme. A great getting to know each other helped to make the first acquaintances, and the warehouse flag and the tent flags were also creatively designed. Friday was then filled with "games without borders", in which different stations were built on the entire campground. The small groups competed against each other and were allowed to demonstrate their skills.

The evening was particularly exciting when the group sang with the support of "Reiners Schwabensound" at the campfire. After an eventful Friday, a variety of workshops followed on Saturday morning that the teams had prepared. In the evening, the children were able to go on a treasure hike at a twilight and night hike, which was a highlight of their adventure for many. Sunday was all about refreshment when a trip to the outdoor pool took place to Münsingen and the children spent a great day there.

The big degree

Monday was the crowning glory of the tent camp. The so -called "final evening" was organized by the older children, who took part in the camp for the last time. The children had their big appearance in a small competition that included the Olympic disciplines of the tent camp. Everyone was thrilled and the evening ended with bright faces.

On Tuesday, the tent camp finally came to an end. After a last joint lunch, the children made their way back to Lauterach with their caregivers, where they were happily expected by their parents. These eventful days not only left lasting memories, but also promoted community feeling and team spirit among the young participants.
