New beginning for TSV Intschede handball players: start of the season on September 7th!
In the contemplative inteschede, the handball players of TSV Intschede begin an exciting adventure in the association league. The coaching team of Heiner Sievers and Hartmut Behlmer has put together a young, dynamic team that starts the new season full of zest for action and enthusiasm. On September 7th, it is serious when the team plays their opening game against VfL Fredenbeck.
Heiner Sievers, the experienced coach of the team, describes his team with a smile comparison: "We are the Gallic village in this league, so to speak." In view of the strong competition, including former league teams such as Elsfleth and Horneburg, it quickly becomes clear that the challenge is great. The first games will be a real test for the promoted, with another away game in Bützfleth and a home game against the regional league reserve of TuS Jahn Hollenstedt.
new additions and squadrangement
The gratifying news is the obligation to commit new talents to strengthen the team. Among the newcomers are Paula Binder, Lilli König and Mina Kruse, all former HSG Verden-Aller players who enjoyed excellent training in youth. These young savages bring a breath of fresh air to the line -up. There is also a strong reinforcement in the box with the experienced goalkeeper Maja Selmikat-König, who changes from TSV Daverden. Only one departure can be recorded: Bianka Rahlmann returns to the reserve. Selmikat-König has already demonstrated her skills in a friendly against TSV Morsum and is optimistic about the coming season: "This will be a very difficult season. However, we will bite through and put our skills and our joy in handball."
The rest of the squad is supplemented by experienced players, including Freya Henke, Jana Ahnemann and Natascha Lukovac. Everyone brings their special skills to achieve the goal of staying in the league. The favorites in this league represents a challenge: In addition to VfL Fredenbeck, the ElsFlether TB and SG Findorff are also considered strong opponents.
expectations and initial challenges
The start against VfL Fredenbeck is viewed by many as a tough exam. Trainer Sievers describes VfL as an "absolute title favorite". It is aware of the dimension of the task and makes great importance to the game because it offers a direct indication of his team's performance. "Of course we are extremely motivated, but I assume that everyone has to get used to the new league first," he adds. Despite the strengths of the Fredenbeck on the offensive, the trainer is confident that his players have the potential to give the favorite a leg.
However, the team has to do without some key players right from the start. Among other things, Theres Meisloh, who is abroad, is missing and Beeke Hermann, who is injured. "The others have to compensate for that," explains Sievers, "and if we play at the limit, maybe there is also something in it. You always have a chance!" This mentality will be crucial for the TSV Intschede in order to be able to survive against heavily occupied teams.
Last year's season ended in eighth place, which was surprising for many, since only the top seven in the Landesliga were entitled to promotion. Now the Intscheder accepts the challenge and want to prove themselves in the association league. "We accept the challenge and will give the best," summarizes Heiner Sievers' ambitions of his team.
