Burglaries in Waldshut: Police are looking for witnesses for nocturnal deeds!

In the night from October 29th to 30th, 2024, several burglaries were committed in the inner city of Waldshut. Unknown perpetrators pried open the doors of a doctor's office and an official building to steal cash. In both cases, they escaped around 500 to 600 euros. The total damage is estimated at around 3,000 euros. There were also four further attempts to penetrate into commercial objects, which, however, failed. The police have already started investigations and asks witnesses to report if they have made suspicious observations.

The deeds have churned the security situation in the region and raise questions about the effectiveness of the protective measures. The Freiburg police have set up a hotline to collect clues.
