Knife attack in doctor's office: caretaker fights for his life

caretaker René G. (46) was brutally attacked in a doctor's office in Waldshut-Tiengen and suffered five knife stings. The perpetrator, Bojan B. (56), a former tenant of the house, was strongly alcoholized at the time of the attack. A dispute over an allegedly lost teeth and a chess game escalated when the two men met. During the argument, according to reports accompanied by provocations, Bojan pulled a Swiss pocket knife and attacked René.

After the attack, René fled 450 meters into a hospital where the police were alerted. Bojan B. was arrested in the waiting room and expressed that his victim himself was to blame for the argument. In the court, the public prosecutor claimed three years in prison for Bojan, while the defense only applied for probation for two years. Judge Maria Goj finally expressed a prison sentence of two years without probation, since the perpetrator apparently benefited from his alcohol problem in custody.
