An exciting music experience awaits jazz lovers in Weiden. The Weiden Jazz-Herbst 2024 promises a captivating concert series that ranges from mysterious sounds to groovy rhythms. A total of seven exciting evenings are in the program, and the first event will take place on September 21 with the rousing "Denis Cuni Quartet". This kick-off event promises to offer the audience a colorful mix of modern jazz, Latin and Cuban jazz that captures the essence of these versatile music styles.
The special flair of the Weidener Jazz autumn is not only reinforced by the quality of the music, but also by the various venues. The concerts take place in the charming bistrot Paris and in the former ring cinema, creating an inviting atmosphere that makes a special experience every evening. On November 8th, the former Ring cinema becomes the setting for a concert that is specially designed for young people and emerging talents. The young baritone saxophonist Roman Fritsch and the "Concert Jazz Band" bring a varied mix of traditional jazz and experimental sounds on stage. The celebrations continue with a dignified homage to one of the biggest names of jazz, Thad Jones.
