Sixty years of love: Elfriede and Helmut Weig celebrate diamond wedding!

Elfriede and Helmut Weig from Vohenstrauß celebrate impressive 60 years of marriage and shine like on the first day! Mayor Andreas Wutzlhofer and Dean Alexander Hösl congratulated congratulations on this special anniversary, which has become rare these days. While Helmut was banned over time since her golden wedding, the couple proudly bragged out with a growing family: two sons, five grandchildren and even two great -grandchildren, with a third on the way!

The story of her love began in the Vohenstraußer Kolb-Wirtshaus, where Helmut met his enthusiastic "Elfie" and no longer let go of it. Helmut, known for his manual skill, shaped the region with its creative work such as the coat of arms at the district office and the fountain in Schirmitz. Elfriede, a former tax clerk, is a passionate supporter of the Paralympics gold winner Gerd Schönfelder.
