The Thuringian administrative service records a remarkable increase in the number of applicants for training and study places this year. This is a gratifying development, since there were not enough applicants in the past year to cover the needs of the authorities.
The administrative office in Weimar reports that all training and study places could be successfully filled. On August 1, 25 applicants started their training as an administrative employee, followed by another 32 applicants who on September 1
The 57 new administrative employees were selected from a pool of over 440 applicants. This shows an increased interest in a career in the Thuringian administrative service. Compared to the previous year, in which only 53 young people started their training, this is a significant increase.
In order to reverse the declining trend of the number of applicants in recent years, the administrative office has increased its efforts in the area of public relations. This includes increased internship and career opportunities for students to inspire them early on for working in the public service.
The training of applicants includes comprehensive training courses in various areas of administration, including internships in the administrative department. After completing their training, the new administrative employees and diploma management employees are used in different facilities in Thuringia, including the State Criminal Police in Weimar.
