HSV Weimar collects painful defeat: coach Heerwald disappointed!
The Oberliga handball players of HSV Weimar lost their first game of the season in a dramatic duel against HSG Saalfeld/Könitz. In the Asbachhalle, the game ended with 33:32 for the guests, who secured their first victory. Coach André Heerwald was visibly disappointed and criticized the referees: "What the referees delivered today, I almost lack the words. I regret my players, who give everything here and then get their chance of winning."
The game was intense and hard -fought, but decisive punishments against HSV Weimar seemed to disadvantage the team. In particular, a time penalty against Captain Tom Germer, which Heerwald classified as violent, caused great lack of understanding. Weimar is currently in third place with 7: 3 points, but has to compete against strong opponents such as Jena and Mühlhausen in coming games. "We will do our best to annoy these teams," said Heerwald optimistically. More Details about this game and the referee decisions can be found in a current article at www.thueringer-allgemeine.de .
