"staging" everyone "with Thomas Thieme as death enthusiastically Weimar"

In Weimar, a special staging of the theater classic "Jedermann" with a prominent line -up will be performed this year. Unlike traditionally in Salzburg, the classic will be shown here in the classic city. Julian Weigend from the ARD series "In all friendship" takes on the leading role. The 75-year-old Thomas Thieme, a well-known Weimar actor who will depict death in his hometown, is particularly emphasized. Prominent personalities such as Tine Wittler, Michaela Schaffrath and Ralph Morgenstern can also be seen in other roles. The staging takes place on the terraces of the Weimarhallen Park and comprises a total of six open-air performances in July (11/11/12/13 and 18./19./20 July).

The "Jedermann" by Hugo von Hofmannsthal deals with the story of a rich man who begins to doubt his own greed due to the confrontation with death. This piece has a tradition of more than 100 years and is usually the start of the Salzburg Festival. In 2024 the anniversary year is celebrated by Hofmannsthal because the writer was born 150 years ago in February.

The performance of the "everyone" in Weimar is a cultural event that brings together the community and reflects the importance of life and dying. Due to the original line -up and the picturesque backdrop of the Weimarhallen Park, the staging promises to inspire the audience and offer an unforgettable experience.
