Julian Weigend and Thomas Thieme in special “everyone” performance
A new chapter of the theater classic "Jedermann" will be opened in Weimar in this anniversary year. Unlike usual in Salzburg, the staging will take place on the terraces of the Weimarhallen Park. Well -known faces like Julian Weigend and Thomas Thieme will be shown in the leading roles to inspire the audience in the classic city.
The 75-year-old Thomas Thieme, an actor from Weimar, returns to the stage in his hometown to embody the role of death. Also part of this special performance are the former RTL-Wohne expert Tine Wittler as well as Michaela Schaffrath and Ralph Morgenstern.
The staging of "everyone" tells the story of a rich man who, given his approaching death, begins to question his greed for wealth. This piece has been the popular start of the Salzburg Festival for over 100 years. In 2024, which is considered the anniversary year of Hofmannsthal, we celebrate the 150th birthday of the writer in February.
Six open-air performances by the “Jedermann” are planned for next July in Weimar, which will certainly be a crowd puller. This unique staging brings together well -known personalities to bring the timeless message of the piece to life in a fascinating way.
