Weimar History Festival: City and Land in exciting dialogue!

Weimar, Deutschland - in Weimar, the free big event "Weimarer Rendezvous with the story" starts on Friday, which will come up with an exciting festival concept. Visitors can expect a plump program for three days: 15 podiums, five lectures, three workshops and two theater performances. The opening takes place at 6 p.m. in the central bank, where actor Christian Berkel reads from literary texts that address the relationship between city and country.

Already on Friday morning there are numerous workshops, including a Franco-German doctoral studio in the city museum and an interactive role-playing game for the first German democracy in the House of the Weimar Republic. The wealth of action continues until Sunday and brings topics such as women's rights, rural protest movements and the general development of rural areas onto the agenda. The highlight of the festival will be a panel discussion on the current situation in Russia, which takes place on Sunday at 5 p.m. in the Jakobskirche. Participation in most events is free of charge, with the exception of the cinema entry - an experience that inspires Weimar and guests alike.
