Altenes Harvest parade: Last chance to register until September 16!

On October 6th, a long tradition will continue in Altenes: the large harvest parade of the home club. This year the registration of 24 groups is already looking forward to the event. But not only the pre -registrations are a reason to be happy - the entire harvest parade is an expression of local community and firmly anchored in the customs of the region.

If you still want to be there with your own contribution to the move, you don't have much time. The registration period ends on September 16. Interested groups should contact the chairman of the home association as soon as possible. To secure a place to move, an email to martin.rethorn@swbmail.de is sufficient, in which the exact number of participants are given. These can be groups that compete with vehicles, horses or tractors - a colorful and diverse representation is guaranteed!

The course of the harvest parade

The move begins on Sunday, October 6th, at 2 p.m. on Ernst-Pieper-Straße. From there, the route extends over a distance of 4.5 kilometers to the village community center. The event is not only a highlight for the participants, but also for the spectators who gather along the route to enjoy the festive atmosphere.

After the move, as in previous years, there is a sociable get -together in the vicinity of the village community center and the home room. Visitors can look forward to a selection of drinks and a small snack, which offers the opportunity to get into conversation and celebrate the community. There the participants and spectators can review the experiences of moving and enjoy the local cuisine.

The registrations and the planning of the move are an important signal for the active cultural work of the home club. These events promote the cooperation and preserve traditions that are of great importance for identity and cohesion of the community.
