Drug shock on the L 318: Police stops numerous traffic offenders!

On Monday, October 28, 2024, the police carried out a large control campaign between Görgeshausen and Nentershausen along the L 318. Between 3:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., 81 vehicles and their occupants were checked, with the focus on alcohol and drug violations. The result was alarming: seven drivers were under the influence of drugs, four of them under cannabis and three hard drugs. Blood samples were taken from all seven and the onward journey was prohibited. In addition, the officials also found small amounts of narcotics.

The controls also covered that four drivers were traveling without a valid driver's license. There were a total of seven administrative offenses, including because of the use of mobile phones while driving and belt violations.
