Türck brings a special expertise: he was actively in handball himself. In the 1986/87 season he played in the 2nd Bundesliga near TuS Eintracht Wiesbaden and was in the SG Wallau/Massenheim squad a few years later, where he was never used. Although his active career in sports was not successful, his passion for handball remained unbroken.
