On Monday, the long-awaited move of the Helios Horst-Schmidt-Kliniken (HSK) in Wiesbaden started their new clinic building. First, the highly needed intensive care patients were transported to their beds. The old building was getting old; There is now space for 924 patients in the new building and 3,000 employees will work on site. The new premises include 22 operating rooms and six delivery rooms. In order to make the transport securely, a tunnel made of tents was set up to protect the patients from weather influences.

For the move there are 21 doctors and over 50 employees to safely move the patients. A total of 30 specialist departments with their patients are to move by Thursday. The move itself was prepared for three years, whereby those responsible worked intensively on the logistical details to ensure a smooth process. The clinic management was positive, the first transport was without incidents. Meanwhile, employees state that the move is more relaxed than expected, even if for many there is an emotional farewell to the old building.
