Internet fraud in Wittenberg: Warning of wrong Microsoft calls!

A 54-year-old woman from the Wittenberg district has lost her money in a shocking case of internet fraud. After an online banking process, your computer suddenly no longer worked, and a computer voice asked her to choose a number of the alleged Microsoft support. The woman was then granted access to her online bank account by a fraudster who spent a Microsoft employee after revealing personal data. Alarming: A four -digit amount has already been debited from your account!

The police urgently warns of this fraudulent stitch and emphasizes that serious companies never contact us without being asked. "Do not give any personal data on the phone!" the police warned. They advise victims to immediately separate the computer from the Internet, change passwords and have the computer checked for malware. Caution should be exercised for defaults that arise from the deception: Under no circumstances transfer money to unknown accounts! Further information and advice can be found on the police website at www.polizei-beratung.de.
