Urban Clinic Wolfenbüttel shines with another KTQ certificate
Wolfenbüttel. The municipal clinic Wolfenbüttel has achieved an impressive 81.1 percent of the "Cooperation for Transparency and Quality in Health Care (KTQ)". This high value clearly exceeds the current average of all KTQ-certified hospitals, which is 76.2 percent. The examination phase took place in May and shows how much the clinic is involved in medical and nursing care.
A particularly positive aspect that was highlighted during the audit are the standardized care visits. These take place in all inpatient areas during the shift change and ensure a smooth transition of the maintenance measures. An effective occupancy of the patient beds, coordinated by optimized occupancy management, is another point that the examiners rated positively.
In addition to focus on patients, the clinic uses a number of measures to increase employee satisfaction. Training and further education programs, respectful cooperation as well as individual working time models and a family-friendly personnel policy are essential elements. These aspects were also recognized within the KTQ certification process and show that the clinic is attractive as an employer.
The regular, external exams Every three years are crucial for the further development of the clinic. Christiane Lange, quality management officer, describes how the self -evaluation report in front of the audit documents the strengths and weaknesses of the different areas. This transparency enables targeted focus on the areas in which there is a need for improvement.
Strategic planning is implemented in the hospital on several levels. This includes a detailed definition of guiding principles and values that serve as an orientation for the team. With a cross -area strategy approach, the clinic secures a future -oriented course in economic and medical aspects.
"We see both strengths and potential for improvement in our visitation report. These are valuable clues in order to continue to develop and to go into the needs of our patients and employees as best as possible," explains Axel Burghardt, Managing Director of the city clinic. The continuous search for optimization is a central part of its mission for the clinic and on a solid basis of continuous improvement and quality assurance.
The cooperation for transparency and quality in healthcare (KTQ) offers a certificate process for health care facilities. It is based on self-and external evaluations in a three-year rhythm in order to systematically secure and further develop the quality of medical and nursing services. The Wolfenbüttel Clinic has been repeatedly recertified according to these high standards since 2009 and thus shows its commitment to quality and transparency in healthcare.
