Full closure of the B82 in Hornburg: Derinations expected from Monday
From next Monday, September 9th, drivers in Hornburg will have to prepare for significant traffic disorders. The important passage through the city, the federal road B82, is expected to be fully blocked for two weeks. This affects the section between Rimbecker Straße and in front of the Braunschweig Tor. The background of the blocking is the necessary shaft renovations carried out by the LSW.
The blocking will stop by September 20 and not only includes the main street, but also the adjacent side streets. This means that the B82 in this area will not be accessible via the adjacent routes, such as Börßumer Straße or Dammstraße. Drivers should therefore be prepared for alternative routes.
important diversions and other construction work
In order to clearly regulate the diversion for road users, special routes (U77 and U88) are signposted. This enables an orderly bypass of the blocked section, so that traffic flows can flow as unhindered as possible. It is expected that this is at least partially mitigating the effects of the blocking, even if the convenience will be impaired for commuters and residents.
The position of the B82 is of crucial importance for traffic in Hornburg and its surrounding areas. The diversions and closures will particularly meet commuters who rely on this route every day. Furthermore, local shops and service providers are potentially affected because the accessibility during the construction work could be restricted. In such cases, the prudent planning and timely information are particularly important to minimize the inconvenience for households in the area.
The residents and road users are called to observe the current traffic situation and, if necessary, to adapt their travel plans. Such traffic adjustments often require greater patience on the part of those affected. Nevertheless, it is of the greatest importance that the work is quick and thoroughly done so that the road conditions are soon stable and safe.
