Rapid duel in Zittau: Czechs injured with illegal car racing!

in Zittau there was a serious traffic accident at night after an 18-year-old Czech wanted to start an illegal race with a driver with his Passat. The driver and his 17-year-old passenger, both from the Czech Republic, were seriously injured when the Passat suddenly got skidding. He overtook the driver, carved in front of her Skoda and lost control. The vehicle raced against a traffic light and finally landed on a property. The two occupants have to be treated in the hospital while the driver refused to take part in the race, the police said.

The investigation into the incident is already underway. According to Michael Günzel from the Görlitz police department, there were numerous dangerous maneuvers that caused the accident.
