Freiberg, Deutschland - The University Council of the TU Bergakademie Freiberg has a new prominent growth: Dr. Michael Harz, who has acted as CEO of Freiberg Compound Materials GmbH (FCM) since 2019, was appointed to the committee. Dr. Harz completed his doctorate in Microsystem technology at the TU Dresden in 1996 and brings extensive experience from the international semiconductor industry into its new role. He has been working as a COO at FCM since 2011. Professor Bernhard Cramer, chairman of the university council, praises Dr. Harz in particular for its competence in material development and its skills in strategic networking with the regional and international economy.
