At the weekend you could expect a friendly sun-cloud mix in both federal states, with the temperatures between -1 and 4 degrees during the day. From January 11th at 4 p.m., an official smoothness warning of level 1 for the districts of Diepholz, Verden, Rotenburg and the Hanseatic city of Bremen came into force, which was at 11 a.m. This warning is aimed at pedestrians and drivers who are recommended special caution. In addition, an increased gladious risk was found in the district of Oldenburg and Nienburg an der Weser. In Eydelstedt near Barnstorf, a 19-year-old inmate was seriously injured in an accident, the cause of which was specified as an unadjusted speed.

In the Upper Harz and over snow spaces in southern Lower Saxony there was even strict frost to -12 degrees, as also from world reported.

For the night of Tuesday, increasing coverage from the northwest is expected, possibly with local drizzle that can freeze in places. The low values ​​are between -12 and -7 degrees in the mountainous area, while the lowland can expect temperatures from -7 to -2 degrees. On the islands, 2 degrees are expected.
