Welt record attempt: Neuharlingersiel invites you to the longest sauna infusion!

A spectacular world record attempt will take place in Neuharlingersiel in East Frisian Neuharlingersiel next Saturday, April 26, 2025. The aim is to establish the longest uninterrupted sauna infusion. The previous record is 6 hours and 15 minutes.

The record attempt will start at 11:00 a.m. in the newly opened Badewerk Neuharlingersiel, which has a modern sea water indoor pool and an appealing sauna system. The event is accompanied by the record institute for Germany (RID). Record judge Laura Kuchenbecker will be on site to monitor the process and to hand over a certificate to the bathing work if successful records.

Details on the record attempt

For the world record attempt, a team of a maximum of ten pourers is used who alternately carry out the infusions. Each infusion will have a duration of 12 minutes, and at least five saunas must take part in each infusion. A total of 61 infusions are planned, whereby the 33rd infusion should break the existing record. This is scheduled for 5:24 p.m. and will be part of the evaluation procedure that takes into account the cumulative total time of all infusions. After each infusion there is a change of the pourer, whereby 30 seconds are available for the changeover.
